Michael fell in love with woodwork at the age of fifteen. Since then he has spent 24 years building furniture and frames. In 2007 Michael started Masterworks Frames in his garage with the express desire to make a living at what he felt passionate about - creating beautiful things with his hands. He quickly learned that artists had two framing choices, either pick an ugly cheap frame or spend so much on a beautiful frame that after selling the painting the artist is left with hardly a commission. Michael built Masterworks to provide 1) high quality gold leaf frames, 2) beautiful hand rubbed finishes 3) reasonable prices 4) a reasonable turn around time. 

 

It would seem artists felt the same as Michael because Masterworks has expanded 5 times in the last 10 years. Employing 12 people.
